solutions

Our proven technology offers these features and benefits:

    • Meets Marpol Annex VI regulations
    • Allows the shipowner to maintain its competitive advantage
    • Short investment payback period
    • Smallest Footprint in its class
    • Meets both 2-stroke and 4-stroke backpressure requirements
    • Inline installation leading to a modular, simple and cost-effective solution
    • Suitable for new and retrofit installs for 1 to 12 MW engines

The MES solution meets all Marpol Annex VI regulation 14, SECA and ECA regulations allowing the ship owner to burn readily available, less expensive higher sulphur fuel. This results in an economic advantage over those competitors burning low sulphur fuel, where the shipowner can maintain or increase profit margins while at the same time providing attractive charter rates to their customers. This makes the investment in the MES Exhaust Gas Cleaning System (EGCS) economically sound with a short payback period, typically between one and one-half and three years.

Since its founding, MES has invested the past 20+ years researching and developing the most innovative design to reduce SOx emissions from exhaust gas. Over the last few years, after finalizing our design, MES focused on commercializing the product. Our closed loop in-line design offers the smallest unit size and energy consumption footprint in the industry, it allows us to reduce unit and installation complexity and cost. Based out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, MES is now ready to introduce our product to the marine world. MES offers a one stop shop to drive out complexity for our clients, from apparatus to custom design to technical support.
